How do I know what size screws I need with my cabinet knob order?

There are two basic ways to measure the needed screw size:
1. If you already have cabinet knobs, you can measurethe length of the current screw that holds your cabinet knob in place. This is your screw size.
2. You can measure the thickness of your cabinet. You can provide this measurement with your order as the cabinet thickness and let us know we need to send the appropriately sized screws, or you can estimate the length needed for the cabinet knob yourself. When the screw is inserted into the cabinet, you want it to stick out far enough so that you are able to screw the knob onto the end.
Our screws are available in sizes ranging from 0.5” to 2.0” in increments of 0.25.” If you are unsure of an exact screw size, it is always better to error on the side of too long, rather than too short. If you receive screws that are too long, they will stick out a little way into your drawer. If this is a problem, you can add an extra washer to the end to protect yourself from the end of the screw. If they are too short, however, the knob may not fit on the end, or you may not be able to fully tighten the knob against the cabient. As these knobs are hand made from Blue Pottery and may break if dropped, it is important to ensure that they are adequately secured.
